This unique multidisciplinary 8-volume set focuses on the emerging issues concerning graphene materials and provides a shared platform for both researcher and industry.
DescriptionGraphene has attracted enormous interest since its discovery in 2004, given its unique physical, mechanical, and electrical properties. With its two-dimensional single atomic layer structure, graphene exhibits very different features compared to traditional semiconductors like silicon. For example, it has zero band gap with valence band and conduction band meeting at the Dirac point, while at the same time it shows incredibly high electrical conductivity. Graphene has witnessed a phenomenal transformation from a curious material to a vital advanced material, following its initial isolation.
Volume 8 is solely focused on Graphene Technology and Innovation. Some of the important topics include but not limited to: Reworking defective soldering joints with graphene sheets and gold nanoparticles; printed graphene radio frequency and sensing applications for internet of things; modeling and characterization of the metal contact and the channel in a graphene device; modeling of graphene-based electronics: from material properties to circuit simulations; hybrid graphene–silicon photonic and optoelectronic integrated devices; sustainability, research, and development of graphene for engineering applications; graphene oxide multilayers obtained from bamboo: new synthesis method, basic properties, and future electronic applications; laser direct-writing graphene oxide to graphene—mechanisms to applications; wave propagation responses of double-layered graphene sheets in hygrothermal environment; graphene terahertz leaky-wave antennas; terahertz applications of graphene; modelling of graphene nanoribbons antenna based on MoM-GEC method to enhance nanocommunications in terahertz range; graphenebased plasmonic components for THz applications: planar ring array devices; continuous graphene oxide fiber and its applications; buckling characteristics of bilayer graphene sheets subjected to humid thermomechanical loading; polymer/graphene nanomaterials: a platform for current high-tech applications; graphene-based advanced nanostructures.
