Series: Concise Introductions to AI and Data Science

Scope: Reflecting the interdisciplinary and thematic nature of the series, Concise Introductions to (AI) and Data Science presents cutting-edge research and practical applications in the area of Artificial Intelligence and data science. The series aims to share new approaches and innovative perspectives in AI and data analysis from diverse engineering domains to find pragmatic and futuristic solutions for society at large. It publishes peer-reviewed and authoritative scholarly works on theoretical foundations, algorithms, models, applications and case studies on specific issues. The monographs and edited volumes will be no more than 75,000 words.

Audience: The series will attract a diverse audience including researchers, industry practitioners, engineers, entrepreneurs, graduate and doctoral students from all engineering disciplines working in and across the fields of AI, data science, analytics, computer science, machine learning, etc. The concise nature of the books will especially appeal to new entrants to the field, professionals needing to research new subjects, as well as anyone needing to understand the Advanced New Society.

About the Series Editor(s):
Dr. Prasenjit Chatterjeeis a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department and Dean (Research and Consultancy) at MCKV Institute of Engineering (NAAC Accredited "A" Grade Autonomous Institute), West Bengal, India. He has over 8350 citations and 145 research papers in various international journals and peer reviewed conferences. He has authored and edited more than 45 books on intelligent decision-making, fuzzy computing, supply chain management, optimization techniques, risk management and sustainability modelling. Prof. Chatterjee has been consecutively enlisted in the Top 2 % list of Researchers and Scientists for a single year published by Elsevier- Scopus and Stanford University under "Operations Research". He is the Lead Series Editor of the "Sustainable Computer and Optimization" series and "Concise Introductions to AI and Data Science", Scrivener; AAP Research Notes on Optimization and Decision-Making Theories; Frontiers of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Apple Academic Press, co-published with CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group and River Publishers Series in Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering. Dr. Chatterjee is one of the developers of two multiple-criteria decision-making methods called Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking according to Compromise Solution (MARCOS) and Ranking of Alternatives through Functional mapping of criterion sub-intervals into a Single Interval (RAFSI).

Dr. Morteza Yazdani is currently associated with ESIC Business & Marketing School, Madrid, Spain as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Market Research and Quantitative Methods. Previously he worked at Universidad Loyola Andalucia, Seville campus. Dr. Yazdani is actively engaged in research in a diverse domain of Management and Operations specifically decision-making theories, supply chain management and sustainable development. He teaches several courses including Industrial Organizations, Quality Control & Inspections, Operations Management and Management Theories. He has published numerous research papers in high impact journals and peer-reviewed conferences including International Journal of Production Research, Applied Soft Computing, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Management Decision, Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Annals of Operations Research, Soft Computing, Materials and Design to name a few. Dr. Yazdani is the developer of a new multiple-criteria decision-making method called Combined Compromise Solution (CoCoSo).
